With this online-training course, you can practice your German at a time and place to suit you. Whether you are looking to preserve, refresh or expand your German, our flexible online-training gives you the chance to achieve your own learning objectives.

The course was originally conceived for language students who had already attended courses at the Language Institute TREFFPUNKT Language Institute in Bamberg. These students frequently wanted to continue learning after they had returned at home, often with the same teacher and course material. The course has been such a success that we now decided to make it more widely available.

When designing your course, we take your personal and career background, your current knowledge and any specific wishes you may have into consideration. In our experience, the key factors are:

• Your motivation for learning the language
• How much you wish to invest in your course (We mean time just as much as money)

There is no doubt that for intensive learning you cannot beat a German course in Germany or a full time or one-to-one course with a teacher near you at home. However if this is not practical for you and you would like to have flexible one-to-one lessons with an experienced teacher, we can recommend Lessons-by-Skype*, which is about as close to one-to-one teaching at home as it gets. All you need is a broadband Internet connection (e.g. ADSL or Cable) and a headset. You can also add a webcam if you wish, although sometimes it is better not to have it on to allow you to practice your listening and telephone skills more intensively. Would you like more details?

What will be the costs of the course and how can I start?

Because it is a new type of language training many students decide first for a "starter package" of € 50 . This includes 2 lessons (2x 45 minutes) online tuition va Skype with a private teacher.

* You can download the Skype program free from www.skype.com. Of course, if you only wish to improve your oral skills, then we can also arrange telephone lessons, and for those who wish to concentrate on their written language skills, we can offer email-based online learning. Any of these forms can be combined with each other or with our German courses in Germany.

TREFF PUNKT

TREFF PUNKT Language Institute was founded by Alexandra von Rohr in Bamberg in 1995. It quickly developed into a recognized centre of language training for German as a foreign language.

Our online offer was originally developed for students at TREFF PUNKT Language Institute who wished to continue their language training after returning home, having completed their onsite course, often with the same teacher and the same course material.

This course met with such universal approval and success that in June 2008 we decided to make this method of learning available to everyone.
