TREFFPUNKT was founded in Bamberg in 1995 and quickly developed into a recognised centre of language training for both German as a foreign language and for business German in Germany.
TREFFPUNKT's regular clients now include many well-known companies and thousands of German learners from all over the world have learned German at this language institute, getting a real insider's view of Germany and of life in Bamberg.
TREFFPUNKT Language Institute has been a licensed TestDaf-examination centre since 2006 and also operates authorised courses for Study-Abroad Programs associated with both American and Russian universities.
German courses are available for all levels A0-C2 and are taught in groups of up to 8 people. There is a new start date for the different courses every two weeks.
The intensive group course in Bamberg consists of 20 teaching hours per week and takes place between 9:00 and 12:30, Monday to Friday. One-to-one training can be arranged at any time and is organised according to your own availability.
Since 2008 English courses have also been available, both at the language institute in Bamberg and via Skype. These courses share the same focus on individual needs and a fast pace of learning. For those who value a set course time once a week, we recommend group instruction at the institute in Bamberg with a group of 2-4 people. For those who require more flexibility, we offer private training for couples, block courses at the weekend or one-to-one instruction with a trainer either in the school or online via Skype. All course levels from A0-C2 are available and after registering for the course, you will receive a detailed placement test. After completing this test, a suitable group will be suggested for you and a course start date will be organised.
The trainers for the German and English courses are all native speakers. The German trainers are from Germany and the English trainers from England, Canada and the USA. They teach both general and business specific language at TREFFPUNKT and in local companies.
Contact with the new language is not just restricted to the classroom. Trying out what you have learned is key to learning a language and as a result, TREFFPUNKT offers a comprehensive leisure and culture program. An integral part of these activities is the weekly Stammtisch that takes place every Thursday. This is an international event to which all course participants and other guests are warmly invited. Information on planned TREFFPUNKT leisure activities are published on the internet every week.
