Taster lesson A1

Read German

  • Texts for the level A1 – about 600 words

  • Texts for the level B1 – about 1800 words
  • Texts for the level B2 – about 2400 Wörter

From level C1 you should read German literature in theoriginal.

  • ARD also called “das Erste” and ZDF also called “das Zweite” 
  • Each of the 16 federal states in Germany has its own TV and radio station
    BR (Bayerischer Rundfunk), HR (Hessischer Rundfunk), MDR (Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk), NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk), SWR (Südwestdeutscher Rundfunk), RB (Radio Bremen)
  • Since we are located in Bavaria, please find the list of radio stations in our area – Bayerischer Rundfunk:
        • Bayern 1 (B1) – for traditional entertainement and basic information
        • Bayern 2 (B2) – high quality information – culture, education, music
          – this is our favourite podcast Bayern 2  
        • Bayern 3 (B3) – traffic news, service inforamtion and pop music
        • Bayern 4 (B4) – classical music
        • Bayern 5 (B5) – news channel, short, precise, topical
